TOPIC: Wikileaks: A genuine or pre-planned crisis?

The whole Wikileaks phenomenon is interesting to me.  The question in my mind is, "is this a genuine controversy or was this a plan hatched by the powers that be to create upheavel and chaos.  It is almost like these leaks have been made on purpose. Are the people behind these leaks trying to start a world war by turning all of these countries against each other? I don't think there is a way that, with all that is being said, there won't be countries that take these comments personally and decide to strike out against the U.S.  According to some reports, the riots in Tunisia were brought on by Wikileaks information.  I would think that with as powerful as the government seems they could have kept this information from coming out but they didn't which makes me think that we are experiencing a well-designed ploy to create planned chaos so that "order" (aka the New World Order) can be established.

WikiLeaks: 1 percent of diplomatic docs published
[Source: AP via MyWay News, January 23, 2010]

Nearly two months after WikiLeaks outraged the U.S. government by launching the release of a massive compendium of diplomatic documents, the secret-spilling website has published 2,658 U.S. State Department cables - just over 1 percent of its trove of 251,287 documents.

Here's a look at what the consequences of the cables' release has been so far, and what the future could hold for WikiLeaks.

---

IT'S LIFTED THE VEIL ON INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS

WikiLeaks has given the world's public an unprecedented, behind-the-scenes look at U.S. diplomacy. Among the most eye-catching revelations were reports that Arab countries had lobbied for an attack on Iran, China had made plans for the collapse of its North Korean ally, and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton had ordered U.S. diplomats to gather the computer passwords, fingerprints and even DNA of their foreign counterparts.

Some of the most controversial cables dealt with a directive to harvest biometric information on a range of officials. U.S. diplomats have been forced repeatedly to deny spying on their counterparts - although none have specifically addressed the instructions to gather personal details, sensitive computer data, and even genetic material or iris scans.

Anthony Cordesman, an analyst for the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, cautioned that some cables were less explosive when taken in the context they were written. He noted that Arab belligerence toward Tehran has festered for years - and suggested the rhetoric was being ratcheted up at a time of high tensions over Iran's nuclear program.

As for the cables on scooping up fingerprints, frequent flyer numbers, and other personal information, Cordesman said that "there isn't a diplomatic service in the world that doesn't serve its intelligence community."

---

IT'S SHOWN HOW LEADERS LIE

Over and over again, the cables captured world leaders lying - to each other, to their allies, and to their own citizens.

Diplomacy "comes across as a scheming, duplicitous profession - which it kind of is," said Carne Ross, a former British diplomat who resigned over the Iraq war.

Ross said the most outrageous example of double-dealing he had seen so far was the 2009 cable that caught Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh sharing a joke about how another senior official had covered up a series of U.S. attacks by lying to parliament.

But there are other examples. One of the cables has Morgan Tsvangirai, Zimbabwe's longtime opposition leader-turned-prime minister, telling Western diplomats that his calls for easing sanctions against Zimbabwe are for public consumption only. Another cable cites Israeli officials, who have often insisted their controversial blockade of the Gaza Strip is targeted only at their arch-foe Hamas, as freely acknowledging that the restrictions were in fact an effort to keep the Gazan economy teetering on the brink of collapse.

The cables are laced with cynicism. One quotes a former French prime minister as dismissing a fellow socialist politician as too honest for his own good. Meanwhile Qatar's prime minister, Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jabr Al-Thani, describes his country's apparently cordial relationship with neighboring Iran as one big charade.

"They lie to us, and we lie to them," Al-Thani is quoted as saying.

IT'S SHAKEN U.S. DIPLOMACY

Italy's Foreign Minister Franco Frattini drew considerable attention when he described the WikiLeaks release as the "September 11 of world diplomacy."

At the very least, the cables have angered some major world figures. Turkey's prime minister demanded that U.S. diplomats be punished for claiming that he had money stashed away in a collection of Swiss bank accounts; cables covering attempts to secure nuclear material in Pakistan drew outrage in a country where public hostility to the United States is already high; rivals such as Russia jumped on the cables to accuse the U.S. of arrogance and dishonesty.

Richard Dalton, the former British ambassador to Libya and now a fellow at London's Chatham House think tank, dismissed Frattini's prediction of a worldwide diplomatic meltdown, suggesting that things would eventually return to business as usual.

"It is - so far - a bump in the road," he said, although he noted longterm damage to U.S. diplomacy was still hard to gauge.

Even if the U.S. State Department rapidly recovers, individual officials still face serious damage to their careers. Officials have told The Associated Press that Ambassador Gene Cretz may lose his job as envoy to Tripoli over his descriptions of Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi's eccentricities.

Allied officials have been rattled by the releases as well: The German foreign minister's chief of staff took a leave of absence following the revelation that he was feeding information to Washington; Afghanistan's finance minister offered to resign after he was quoted as describing President Hamid Karzai as weak and paranoid; Britain's central banker also faced criticism after a cable caught him sharing his doubts about Prime Minister David Cameron's economic competency with the U.S. ambassador to London.

Singapore's Foreign Minister George Yeo may have been speaking for many across the world last month when he instructed officials to be less open when speaking with their American counterparts.

"The WikiLeaks disclosures have been disastrous for U.S. diplomacy," Yeo said.

WHAT'S NEXT?

Although only a small sliver of the entire trove of State Department documents has made it online, the secret memos have been held by The New York Times, Britain's The Guardian, Germany's Der Spiegel, and Spain's El Pais for weeks, if not months.

Recent cables have made news - one claimed that late Nigerian President Umaru Yar'Adua had a kidney transplant while he was still a state governor - but most haven't carried the same punch as earlier releases.

It isn't clear whether WikiLeaks or what it calls its "media partners" have gone through the documents in their entirety. The secret-spilling website did not return an e-mail seeking comment on its future plans, although its founder Julian Assange has repeatedly promised to speed the cables' release.

Whether or not the State Department cables have already yielded their most arresting secrets, WikiLeaks is still sitting on a huge archive of leaked data from nearly every country in the world - including, Assange has hinted, a massive trove of e-mails from Bank of America.

And even though his website is no longer accepting submissions, Assange said secrets were still making their way to him all the time. On Monday, a Swiss ex-banker - now under arrest for his interactions with WikiLeaks - handed Assange his latest set of secrets, data which he claimed carried details of tax evasion by some 2,000 prominent people.

Assange said the material could be online within weeks.

Examiner 09-23-2009: President of European Commission calls for stronger, dominant Europe

Earlier this month, President of the European Commission, Jose Manuel Barroso, released a proposal on how to strengthen Europe's Dominance in the world. In a 41-page document entitled"Political Guidelines for the Next Commission" he set forth several different goals he would like to see Europe achieve in the next five years under his continued leadership.

In the document, President Barroso states that he is "....convinced that Europe can, and should...provide globalisation with the leadership it needs." He goes on to say that "The European Union has had almost 60 years as a laboratory for cross border supranational cooperation, making it a natural champion of global governance." [emphasis added]
These are just a couple of the quotes from the document which is filled with references and themes of world governance and globalisation.

President Barroso's proposal appears to fit right into what the Bible prophesies regarding the last world empire. In the book of Daniel, chapter 2, Daniel interprets King Nebuchadnezzar's dream, which foretold of four world empires that would come upon the earth, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome. These four world powers are reiterated in Daniel's vision found in chapter 7. The fourth kingdom will be the last kingdom in power right before Jesus comes to set up His everlasting kingdom here on earth.

Although the once powerful Roman Empire no longer exists, many prophecy scholars believe that since it did not collapse from outside powers but rather it crumbled from the inside, that it was technically never destroyed but will reemerge in the last days to set up its dominance over the whole world. Revelation chapter 17 explains in further detail this fourth world empire and more specifically about the role that the Anti-Christ will play in that kingdom.

It is evident that President Barroso is pushing for European dominance in the world and with the decline of the United States as a world superpower, it is definitely a great oppotunity for the European Union to re-assert itself on the world stage. Is President Barroso's vision of a stronger more dominant Europe the beginnings of the revived Roman Empire? Time will shortly give us the answer. Are you ready?

Examiner 07-11-2009: President Obama calls for Middle East peace within two years

On June 9, 2009, Israeli News website, Haaretz.com reported that President Obama had announced his plan to bring a two-state solution to the current hostility between Israel and their Arab neighbors, thereby bringing a much needed peace to the region no later than 2011. Interestingly enough, a little over a week later, Tony Blair, envoy for the Middle East Quartet (a position commisioned by the U.N., U.S., E.U., and Russia that is designed to facilitate peace in the Middle East) commented that peace was possible in that region "within the year". Is it a coincidence that two of the world's most prominent and influential leaders are calling for a peace plan in the very near future?

Both Barack Obama and Tony Blair have the "credentials" and the political weight to follow through and complete this peace plan. Obama has been singled out by former US Secretary of State and member of the Bilderberg group, Henry Kissinger, as the leader who is primed to create a new world order. Additionally, on the campaign trail, Obama was often likened to a saviour/christlike figure that would bring our country salvation from the horrible evils of the Bush administration. Many people had not only given him the title of President of the United States but they had even ventured to proclaim him President of the World and all of this before he had ever been elected! His charisma and his magnetic speech making ability have been able to capture not only the attention of U.S. citizens but the citizens of the whole world. Finally, with President Obama's ability to push through some of the largest and most controversial legislation within his first several months of his presidency leaves little room for doubt that he has the wherewithal to push through a peace deal between Israel and their arab neighbors.

Former Prime Minister of the U.K., Tony Blair, although not as ubiquitous as Barack Obama, still has credentials in his own right. He has been credited with helping to negotiate the peace plan in Northern Ireland in the mid-1990's, that ended a decades long war. In addition to being selected as the Middle East Quartet's envoy to bring peace to the Middle East region, his name has been tossed around as a candidate to lead the European Union as its permanent president. Many prophecy scholars believe that the E.U. is the Revived Roman Empire, prophesied in Daniel 2 &7 from which the Anti-Christ will consolidate his power.

With all this current talk about peace, it's beginning to look like the white horseman of the apocalypse (Revelation 6:2) may be riding into town bringing with it its psuedo-peace. Will this peace plan take the shape of the Antichrist's "covenant with many" as Daniel 9:27 prophesies? More than any other time in history, it's possible that this may be the peace deal in which the world rejoices and exclaims "peace, peace" not realizing that sudden destruction is quickly approaching (1 Thessalonians 5:3). Examiner 06-11-2009: The Bilderbergers quest to rule the world?

If you read my last article, you are aware that the Bilderbergers just had their annual conference in Greece and one of the main objectives on their agenda was to decide on how to deal with the impending global economic crisis. But now we are beginning to find out some of the other items on their agenda. According to Jim Tucker, another Bilderberg tracker, the Bilderbergers set up an economic summit, which was held this week (June 8-11) in Israel - which by the way, I find interesting in that out of all the places they could choose from to hold this summt, they chose Israel (Israel figures into much of Bible prophecy, see my article for more information.) This economic summit is being hosted by the International Association of Securities Commission (IOSCO) and is supposed to be a time for "the world’s leading regulatory experts" to "address the current economic situation in one forum." See the Summit's agenda here. There is no doubt that there was many important things going on at this summit, the fruit of which I'm sure we will see later on this year.

Before we move on though, many of you may be asking the question, "who are these Bilderbergers and what are they all about?" Well, here is a quick snapshot of this mysterious group of people.

If you have never heard of the Bilderbergers than you are in good company. The Bilderberg Group is what we would consider a secret society of sorts. It's so secret that it doesn't even have a name. The reason why they are called "Bilderbergers" is because the very first meeting in 1954 was held in the Bilderberg Hotel in the Netherlands. The group was originally formed in order to "promote understanding between the cultures of the U.S. and Western Europe." It was considered a safe place for the world's leaders to get together and freely discuss their ideas and opinions without being held responsible for them by the media; therefore no official records are kept of their meetings. The Group's members are made up of some of the world's most influential and powerful people in politics, banking, business, and the media. Although there is no official list of members published by the Group, it is known that leaders such as Henry Kissinger, David Rockefeller, Bill Clinton, Tony Blair, and many more household names have attended these conferences. Some sources even report that Obama attended last year's conference in Virginia during his campaign. See a list of this year's attendees here.

When secrets are kept, conspiracies abound. It's no different with the Bilderbergers who get a lot of attention from the so-called conspiracy theorists. They believe that this Group is involved in an evil and sinister plot to take over the world (ever heard of the term, New World Order?). Now I don't know if I would go to the extreme of believing everything that these conspiracy theorists put forth about this Group but I do believe that there is some truth to it. A quote taken from Wikipedia by one of the Group's founding members, Denis Healy, is very revealing. He states,

"To say we were striving for a one-world government is exaggerated, but not wholly unfair. Those of us in Bilderberg felt we couldn't go on forever fighting one another for nothing and killing people and rendering millions homeless. So we felt that a single community throughout the world would be a good thing."
I would have to agree that a single community of people - a world united, so to speak - would be a great idea and an excellent goal to pursue but not the way mankind is trying to do it. The last time mankind tried to institute a global government it didn't work out so well. In Genesis 11, we read how the peoples of the earth came together to build a city to keep them unified and a tower (the infamouse Tower of Babel) that would reach the heavens in order to "make a name for [them]selves". This may not seem like a big deal until we read Genesis 1:28 where God told Adam to fill the earth and subdue it, not settle in one place and unite. So in order to deal with their disobedience, God dispersed the peoples by confusing their language. We are warned that in the "last days" we will witness a united global society, of which will be controlled by one powerful world leader, aka the infamous Anti-Christ. See Daniel 2 and Revelation 13.

So, will the Bilderbergers succeed in their quest for global domination by instituting a one world government? The Bible seems to indicate so, but this government will not last more than 7 years, and will eventually be destroyed along with all of those who pledge their allegiance to it.

A one-world government is closer than you think, are you ready?
