NOTES: America's Stonehenge: The 30th Anniversary of the Georgia Guidestones

Last month (March 22, 2010) was the 30th Anniversary of the Georgia Guidestones.  The Georgia Guidestones (also referred to as America's Stonehenge) was erected in 1980 in Elbert County Georgia under the direction of a mysterious man going by the name of R.C. Christian (some believe this to be Ted Turner).

This monument is made up of  4 slabs of upright granite stone positioned around a center stone column and capped with another slab of granite stone.  Each of the four slabs of granite contain a list of ten guidelines, or commandments (see below) that are supposed to guide humanity into a new age of reason.  The list is translated into 8 languages (one for each side of granite): English, Spanish, Swahili, Hindi, Hebrew, Arabic, Chinese, and Russian.
The 10 Commandments of the New Age of Reason
  1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
  2. Guide reproduction wisely - improving fitness and diversity.
  3. Unite humanity with a living new language.
  4. Rule passion - faith - tradition - and all things with tempered reason.
  5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
  6. Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
  7. Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
  8. Balance personal rights with social duties.
  9. Prize truth - beauty - love - seeking harmony with the infinite.
  10. Be not a cancer on the earth - Leave room for nature - Leave room for nature.

For more information on the Georgia Guidestones and how they may figure into our future from a Christian perspective listen to this Future Quake podcast from March 1, 2010 with guest Van Jones: "Unveiling The Antichrist's New World Order Plans - The Georgia Guidestones"

Note:  During the interview Mr. Jones connects the Georgia Guidestones with the newly constructed Burj Khalifa aka the Dubai Tower.

  • Police respond to hostage case at Discovery headquarters in Silver Spring [Source: Washington Post, September 1, 2010]:  A hostage situation has recently occurred at the Discovery Channel headquarters in MD. What's interesting is that the gunman is apparently demanding that the Discovery Channel change its programs to align more with a...let's say, "environmentally friendly" viewpoint. Throughout his "Manifesto" the gunman rants about overpopulation and the use of human sterilization and infertility to stop the birth of "parasitic human infants."  Although this is a VERY extreme case, I believe that the true "Environmental movement" is all about depopulating the earth to bring it into balance with nature (see the Georgia Guidestones) whether that's through vaccines and sterilization or through messing with our food supply and weather. Ultimately, it goes against God's command in Genesis 1:28.
